Touch and Go

2009

A series of ten scarves screen printed with GPS tracks made while learning to fly. The repetition of circuits flown while learning to take off and land safely in a plane (sometimes called a 'touch and go') are contrasted with the track of the first solo flight. The scarf format is related to WWII escape maps for pilots that were often printed on silk scarves.
